The old man AFTER security decided to let several gay, straight, and bi men past me with large bags, and even bags within bags, but then decided to search my bag and proceeded to grab a nug from happy camper and an empty blender bottle to throw in the trash, yet, the people before me had more than what I had in my bag, had pre-rolls and open flower, or possibly coke in their bags. Also proceeded to let THREE, CLEARLY, drunk, men in past me without checking their pockets, which could have had guns. So I guess a singular nug from a pretty young mixed girl is more important than getting the building shot up. I am disgusted. They stopped us from even going to the bar across the street. I was so excited to go to Scorpio. It has been recommended by many of my friends. They have never had a problem coming alone as men. This is disgusting behavior. He also put his hands on me!!! PUT. HIS. HANDS. ON. ME. Very selective, profiler you chose to “represent,” your establishment, as I can also see from previous reviews as well. Outright disgusting. Shame.
Grateful for the performers we saw there, drinks are real pricey… don’t go to the blond girl in the rsvp club, $93 for 3 weak drinks and a shot. + tip
Okay. I'll be the elephant in the room. As a gay black woman (which I hate I'm labeling myself just to justify this review); its simply not as bad as the reviews are making it. Yes, I'm only giving it 4 stars because its not the OLD Scorpios, it lacks luster and the young kids dont tip our queens. Also, what happened to being able to use cash at the bar? Yes, they have an atm that spits out random $2 bills. I guess I'm old. They do have different rooms that play different genres of music. I enjoyed myself in the "urban" area that was outside. Would I trade this place for the same record playing cash bar we loved? Yes, but its not as bad as we make it seem. Can they change the location of which the play country and pop music? YES! Because the patio was crowded. No one is dancing to whatever music they're playing in the country and pop area expect the drunk gays. Are they trying to change the demographics? Yup. But some of them folks been there even in the old Scorpios. Do we want this to be a spot for random folks to "experience queer" culture? No. Why not make this a space for those who need an escape? I'll never know. We dont get many spaces even for us. Would this be a regular space for me? No. However, I enjoyed my time being there. As you should. If its just for that night.
A friend and I visited the new Scorpio location to celebrate his birthday, and we had a great time. The staff were exceptionally friendly and attentive, making the night feel special. Our favorite part of the club was definitely the rooftop—with its beautiful view of the city, it’s the perfect spot to sip a cocktail and people-watch. Parking is limited- best to take a Lyft
My girlfriend wanted to go out and have a good time on Saturday. She just wanted to be in a club dancing and I could not think of a place, but then I thought of Scorpios. That community is always full of life and a lot of fun. We arrived shortly before 8:00 p.m. and found out they were having a drag show at 8:00 and 10:00 p.m. and a male review from 9:00 to 10:00. So needless to say we had a blast. The new location is beautiful, it has a gorgeous view of the city from the rooftop bar. There's a bar in their lounge area and a bar out on the veranda and a bar in the event room where the stage is. Great energy in this place and great ambiance. So much fun! All of their staff was so friendly and nice!
