The Flame Nightclub Duluth

I've never personally had a bad experience here (so far) I like but ive definitely heard enough horror stories to have my guard up but so far nothing bad, if the place is dead sometimes the bartenders will plays songs you want if you ask! I wouldnt really recommend going in on super duper busy weekends because its less lgbtq on those nights but you can still find some friendly stragglers! I haven't had any bad bartenders there so far either yet!

This place is great! Went there for my best friend's bachelorette party and it was a blast! The security team was very welcoming and attentive. The bar staff were very fun to talk to and had quick service. DJ was throwing out a fire playlist. Overall an extremely enjoyable night. Will absolutely be coming back next Friday

Really an over all great place to bring my friends. Bunch of people on a Fridays. Shockingly fun drag shows. Security actually does there job. The service is fast an the bartenders are really friendly. But David is really the start of the show there.

I love coming here with friends! The drinks are always delicious, the bartenders are friendly and the music is fantastic! Parking is iffy, so I like to come way early and get a spot right in front. That way I can also socialize with friends, play pool or darts before the dancing starts at 10. I also love that there's a lounge downstairs where the music plays too, so if your friends get tired on you before 2am, you can put them downstairs on the couch to watch TV and rest a bit while you keep dancing right next to them, and your tab stays open so you don't have to close it upstairs and open a new tab downstairs, you can just keep the same tab. I usually spend $40-50 per night on drinks. Such a good vibe here, I'll never go anywhere else!

Be careful: Flame is basically a straight bar with gay themes (e.g., rainbow flags). While the bar is one of the major hosts for Duluth Pride, the space attracts more college-aged people (UMD likely) rather than a local gay scene. While the atmosphere resembles a typical college bar, it is nonetheless accepting of all - gay and straight. The drinks are somewhat small, not too strong, and served in plastic cups. Excellent and friendly service.
