Excellent experience! Our afternoon food tour was cancelled (very heavy rains) so we rebooked for morning 2 days later. Tuan modified the tour in order to combine a city tour with a food tour….great idea. Every hop back on the bike had us excited for whatever the next mysterious and unique stop would be. Tried Viet foods I didn’t know existed (and I have a close connection to a Viet family (why didn’t my bå ngoąi ever make me Crab Noodle or Bun Cha?‽) Best yet….it was a totally ‘local’ experience. With our small group of 4 (including. the two guides Tuan and Tom). We scootered directly down small alleyways that opened into large (and very busy) local hotspots. From Seinfelds ‘soup Nazi’ vibes at the rice pudding soup joint,to a hole in the wall crab noodle, to eating fried chicken on a family’s living room floor to a classy, old school cafe built into an extravagant home…..there was nothing but awe and appreciation! The Ha Long Bay tour on JadeSails (but booked through Gay Hanoi Tours) was incredible and highly recommended …from van pickup to fancy boat, to a range of food /drinks on board…and various included activities made for an exceptional day. The massage chair recliners in the luxury van was an added bonus…esp. on the long ride back lol
What a wonderful and exhilarating way to visit Hanoi. We are a group of five and each scooter driver was friendly and well informed. Touring the city by scooter was incredibly fun. Highly recommend this!
Tuan and his entire team at Gay Hanoi Tours were incredible to work with—professional, responsive, kind, warm, and generous with their time. We did three tours with them. The Hanoi food and city combo with Tuan and Phat was an incredible start to our trip. Despite having eaten Vietnamese food in the United States, this tour helped us explore a wide breadth of Vietnamese dishes at spots only locals would know and helped orient us to the city right away. We even went to some places that weren’t on Google Maps! Doing all that while riding on motorbikes made the experience even more fun and authentic. We also did two tours in Ho Chi Minh City—a Mekong Delta tour and a nighttime tour with some sightseeing, food, and a rooftop bar. Our guide Kevin for both of these experiences was knowledgeable, sweet, and dedicated to getting us the best pictures possible 😂. He truly was so lovely and great company on these fabulous tours. Whether you are LGBTQ+ or not, this is an amazing company. I will be recommending them to any friends or family who travel to Vietnam.
LOVED everything about this day alongside the Gay Hanoi team ❤️. Tuan and his team have created and honed an insightful tour that brings you to places well off the beaten track. From the traditional 1926 home to trying bún bò to whipping around the city on motorbikes with the best guides out there to Banana Island (our favorite part) to tasting egg coffee, we honestly didn't know what to expect but we were blown away. On top of it, the guides felt immediately like friends. Just such warm-hearted, kind guys! Special shout-out to Dieu 💗 It was rainy the day we went, which added to the experience by giving the city a misty layer of mystery. We really appreciate you arranging this tour for us and we can't wait to try it in Saigon at some point. Much love, The Fabryk
So much fun! A great alternative to the mainstream tours. Communication was great and the tour guide was wonderful. We travelled around Hanoi on mopeds and went to a series of beautiful cultural destinations, went swimming on banana island, and had a wonderful lunch and cafe experience. Would recommend for LGBT+ people
