Neat little nook for gathering. The murals are really cute. It's great to see a lesbian place doing well in an era of fewer and fewer lesbian bars. The owner is very outgoing and friendly. We had a pleasant conversation despite not fluent in each other's language. There's a new sister location in Kyoto called Rainbow. If you are in Kansai please go check it out!

Despite being the only non-japanese person that night, and only communicating with my very broken japanese, I felt so welcome, safe and included. It was wonderful to feel seen and understood by other queer people so far away from home. The amazing owner, and a very friendly customer, did their best to translate in English, and I had the most fun and wonderful night !! I was so honored to participate in the bars anniversary, and I assume getting free champagne and commemorative pins is not a common experience in Osaka?! Incredible !! Aaa!

My girlfriend and I LOVED this bar! It was very nice to be in an inclusive and safe queer/lesbian space in Japan. It is so cute and cozy. The bartender is so attentive and wonderful. I wish we could have gone more nights. There is space at the bar or in the seating area. The bartender speaks English and is the best host. She walked us out to the elevator, thanked us, and told us to be safe💙 10/10 recommend

The bartender can speak some Thai since she lived in Thailand for 6 years! She can also communicate in basic English and she is very friendly. There’s a seating charge of 1000 yen per person, which includes one 1 free drink and free snacks. For additional drinks, you pay according to the menu. The atmosphere is warm and cozy. However, English speakers might have some difficulty communicating.

Niji was recommended to us from the bartender at the other lesbian bar called “Jake” in Osaka. Niji is on the 5th floor. You can enter the elevator from the hallway next to the gyoza restaurant (“Gyoza-kobo Chibisuke Umeda sohonten” on google maps). My partner and I had fun and were welcome by the other patrons and bartender. One of the customers spoke English well enough for us to have conversation with everyone else about our travels and interests. It was fortunate for us because we could connect more with everyone thanks to this friendly customer. If we went on a night with no English speaker to translate for us, it would have been a much different experience. The bartender/owner had limited English but made an effort to communicate with us as best as possible. The bartender was the only employee at the time. We truly had a joyful time and everyone was very hospitable. We went on a weekday evening and there were about 6 other patrons other than us. There are about 6-7 seats at the bar area and there is also a sitting area with couches at the entrance. It is a small and cozy place. There was a cover charge. I think it was 1000 yen including a drink and some potato chips. They don’t serve food.
