I’m of Latino origin, and I was kicked out by a security guard for no clear reason on a very slow night and told “don’t ever come back.” The security guard was from the segregation era. As a Latino guy, the interaction felt targeted and humiliating. Security did not touch me because I left immediately as soon as the situation escalated. There was no explanation and no respect. As you can see from the pictures of the bar, age or behavior don’t matter — what matters is your ethnicity and your origin. This happened in front of other American people who were also upset (be mindful you can’t always tell, because they are brown). It would probably be safer for me not to say anything, but it’s better to be honest about what happened. This place isn’t the inclusive space it claims to be. Same power trips and arbitrary enforcement you see in plenty of places in the U.S. Hard pass for me. The situation didn’t feel safe, especially if you are not American or white. And always remember: there’s a lot of competition out there — that’s why this place is cheap.
Sunday beer bust has a pleasant vibe. A lot of guys come to meet up with friends. Cruisy if you want it to be.
Disrespectful - they give free entry for us misters but not an international mister 🙄 and then only cash. But okay 15$ plus 4$ for your jacket for going into a place where servals of people stand in a 10m long queue and blocking totally for you can get around in the smell of weed This was definitely my shortest visit at a club EVER! Definitely not a place I can recommend to any
I love going to the Eagle SF for a party called Young Hearts which always happens once a month on a Saturday night. In my opinion, one of the best parties in the city. If you’re not from SF, I highly recommend you check what’s going on at the Eagle before going because there are many different parties, some of which might not be your thing. On some nights, the bar can also be empty! It’s a leather bar, but wear whatever you want!
The SF Eagle doesn’t have a little, it has a LOT of something for EVERYONE! Whether it’s hanging with the leather community, meeting a new pup , dancing to disco on a Sunday after its famous beer bust of course, karaoke Wednesdays, the make out party, so many events happen at the SF eagle that their truly is something for everyone. Everyone is welcome and everyone is respectful. Make sure you are too! Love this place, they treat you like family! Pictures taken by myself.
