The Eagle is, in my opinion, the best gay bar in New York City. With three floors, including a rooftop, it has a scale and energy that few other places can match. More importantly, it does not feel cookie-cutter like so many other bars. It has real character, a distinct vibe, and genuinely friendly guys. Highly recommended.

its really going strong. Every night can be your favorite. The themed evenings attract a crowd...the unthemed nights attract plenty of hot guys who make it what they want too. Managment are doing a great job because this is a well controlled, well watched venue that feels freer than most. No rules (until you do something idiotic). No telling off the punters for this and that..(assuming youre not acting like a kid). Punters respected as grown. Simples. But it takes a lot to fine tune security so well that youre barely noticing it happening. Very well oiled wheel. I salute you. And have a fun visit, strolling gentlemen all.

Loved the dancefloor area! Great music and lots of fun! Wish they had a bigger beer selection though!

Was very busy on Friday March 21st 2026. DJ Curtis Atchison was bumping some amazing quality beats. He was really good and had me dancing. I should have left after I connected with the bottom I met 🤫 had I known the coat check line would be 30 minutes to an hour wait upon leaving. Overall it made for a good memory and life experience. There are three floors which can take a moment to explore the logistics. I’m very competent, assertive, and these spaces align with my work, so I happily attended alone. However I too was afraid to go to gay bars when I was coming of age. If it’s your first time bring a male friend that you trust to look after one another, but make sure he’s a wingman who understands how to give each other the freedom and the privacy to separate and explore. He should be someone who respects boundaries, doesn’t secretly have a crush on you, doesn’t feel like a babysitter, but there just enough have each others back 🍻 Protect our sanctuaries for Cisgender Gay Males 🙏 The Heretic was an Atlanta gay bar where a woman called the police after wandering into the back room and was appealed by our liberation. The incident led to the establishment getting rid of the space where gay cis men had cruised and put us in proximity to the threat of police brutality. In a straight majority society where women are catered to in nightlife and considered the prize everywhere you go, landing in a club where you aren't catered to can feel like you're being discriminated against. Much love from DJ Ephraim Adamz 🫶😎

If you're on the fence about going to Eagle, well just hop off already and get your bum over there. I finally did and realized I had been missing out all this time. This fantastically grungy place is fueled by a mix of thumping beats, leather harnesses, and shirtless men. Even at its busiest, the vibe stays open, fun, and surprisingly well organized. The Wednesday before thanksgiving is apparently known for being the busiest night at the Eagle, and this year's record crowd should have sunk the whole operation, but the staff kept the entire production going smoothly like it was rehearsed. The Eagle's security team deserves direct credit. They managed an impossibly massive crowd without a hitch. Even with thousands trying to get in, the kilometric entrance line and the coat check line that stretched to the roof moved smoothly and never descended into chaos. Dan in particular handled a near-impossible task: recovering my smartwatch from a crowd so packed I had assumed it was gone for good. He somehow retrieved it, safeguarded it, and returned it to me with the utmost professionalism. Music is solid. The vibe is leather and musk. The inclusivity is not just a tag line but a daily practice. This bar deserves every positive review on this app. Ignore the haters. Peace!
