Updating my review: I understand the pricing rationale to an extent, but it still doesn’t completely track. As others have noted (here and at Hardware and Balcon), a Surfside is listed several dollars higher than a cocktail. My friend paid less for a Grey Goose drink. I understand a Surfside may cost more on your end, but from a customer perspective it’s surprising to see a low-ABV canned drink priced above a premium cocktail. We chose it for a lighter option. At that price, it feels more like liquor store pricing than bar pricing and comes across as misleading. My husband and I genuinely enjoy coming here, which is why this stood out.
Went 2 Sunday’s ago as I was visiting NYC with the boyfriend. It was drag night. Lexington Banks is an icon. The bartender was super cute and super attentive throughout the night, which made for great service. The local New Yorkers who frequent the bar were very social to me and my boyfriend which was a plus as they were not rude in the least. Overall a fantastic and fab experience. The next time we visit, we will definitely be back. 10/10
Came on Thursday night for the first show, Jasmine Live, and had such a great time. One of the best things we did in NYC. Also funny, and great with the audience interaction. Happy hour runs until 8pm. Show ended up starting around 9, but we were happy to have such great seats and have a drink beforehand. Show itself was free, but don't forget to bring dollar bills for tipping the queens.
We have always loved pieces, fun atmosphere and great service. But the inflation prices are really hitting this bar. A surfside was $16 and that somehow doesnt feel right. Order a beer or a well drink when you are here.
This place is a blast! It’s fabulously decorated, with upbeat staff, a lively crowd, and super fun shows. Ruby Roo was behind the bar, and I don’t think I’ve had that much fun on a Tuesday night in ages. I even came back another night just to catch the show again. Definitely a really fun spot to be!
