Awful customer service and poor hygiene I was having a shot of whiskey and had to spit out a huge mosquito that was inside the drink. When I went to the bar to let them know—again, not asking for a replacement, just letting them know—the bartender was extremely rude and arrogant. He told me it wasn't there when he poured it and that I must have "caught it outside." The terrible attitude and total lack of professionalism mean I won't ever be coming back. Do not recommend.

See a sign for happy hour on Saturday until 7:30. Walk in and head up to order at 6:40, had a really unnecessarily rude bartender you’re-wasting-my-time-you-idiot interaction over happy hour ending at 6:30 “okay, your sign at the street says 7:30” “No. It ends at 6:30.” Just because it’s busy doesn’t mean every person wanting to spend money should be spoken to like an idiot. Don’t work in service if you can’t handle a Saturday(?). If I wanted a demeaning tone about things in the real world that outright contradict what you’re saying, I would have called my parents.

The former Pendulum is now Toad Hall. Despite the odd name, we had lots of fun here where we ended our night of bar hopping. ATMOSPHERE: The place has been totally remodeled. It's now airier and brighter, and sports a good sized dance floor, big bar, a few high tops, and a small back room which I peeked into. It's the most "clubby" vibe I've experienced in the Castro so far, better than Badlands IMO. The room was also perfectly lit, not dark and shady like at other places. The crowd was a mix of ages and personalities, dancing to a blend of pop, dance, and R&B. SERVICE: We sat at the bar and received fast and friendly service from the male bartender. He kept the bar top clean and drinks flowing. Beer prices were average. OVERALL: Nice digs, friendly staff and patrons, great place to dance.

I had a great time there last night! The music was nice, and there were lots of good-looking people. The environment was great; they had water available and easy to get self serve, which is always a good idea, but something I rarely see in bars like that. I will definitely come back.

I think the most important think, wherever place, it is the guest service, and we are come from different countries, but the people of the bar of the bar it is not really nice, dont smile, and when you are gonna to pay they say "dont forget the tip" it was incredible.
