The bar next door was closed so we stumbled into Ty’s instead, and I’m so glad we did!! Both bartender and patrons were wonderfully kind and sweet. Immediately felt welcome. Music selection was great; instant good vibes. Will definitely come back next time I’m in NYC!

If I had to pick a favorite bar, it would always be Ty's. The moment you walk in, you just feel welcome. The bartenders are fantastic, specially Garry is the absolute best—he remembers your name, your drink, and your latest drama, all with a wink and a smile. You get a seriously strong drink for a price that doesn’t hurt your wallet, which is always a good start. The atmosphere is just lovely, the music is always spot-on. Let’s just say the crowd includes a very welcoming mix of friendly bears and charming daddies, so there’s plenty of eye candy to admire while you sip your drink. It’s the perfect place to be yourself, have a laugh, to make new friends and feel right at the place where you think you always belong.

Had a great time in Ty's. Very friendly atmosphere, loved the music and the bar staff were friendly too. Wished I could have stayed longer. Thank you for a great night.

Just, lovely. I went here for my 2nd time ever yesterday (which is wild, considering I’ve been living in New York City for 15 years), and it just has all the vibes, all the feels of an old school gay bar. These places should be cherished, as there aren’t a lot of them, it seems. Classic gay bars that have been around for a while, that draws all gays of all ages, which is important to me because I enjoy talking to them all! Lol. The decor here always gives me vintage vibes. Cool, dim lights, and always a friendly bartender with UNBEATABLE drink prices. It truly is a community and again, it should be cherished.
