Unfortunately this is not a safe space!, very drunk transwomen are still served alcohol, when they can't even stand straight and are taken care of by other costumers on the dance floor. And people screaming sexist insults are accepted inside and infront of this bar. It makes me incredibly sad that such behaviour is tolerated

Brilliant cute bar for a drink at the end of a long day running all over Wien. Felt like coming home.

Marea Alta feels like the Star Wars cantina crash-landed in Vienna and decided to serve cheap drinks. It’s chaotic in the best way: funny creatures, random great conversations, and a bartender who always looks like he just smelled something suspicious, but is actually a sweetheart. The drinks are fun and cheap, the vibe is wonderfully weird, and when they open the underground downstairs it suddenly turns into a mini intergalactic nightclub. You go in for one drink… and somehow end up dancing with aliens. Highly recommended.

This was my favorite of all the bars in the area that I tried during my trip. Love the funky artsy decor. The crowd is fun. Met some amazing locals there. The bartender Tobias was super nice and friendly. As a solo traveler who doesn’t speak German I appreciated that a lot. The dance floor an the music on the weekend get very lit. I’d love to come back some day :) Much love ❤️

The bar has a really nice vibe and the people coming are fine as well. But there is a barkeeper who is *incredibly* rude!! Ruined our night for no reason at all... It is really unfortune so I hope he changes his attitude or gets fired.
